What's the best encryption client for cloud storage?

What's the best encryption client for cloud (regardless of service provider) for PC/MAC/IOS/Android?

In light of recent NSA scandals exposed by Edward Snowden, you have the following choices: Accept the de-facto standard of encryption, that will encrypt your files and protect you from your "peers", but not necessary the government, this concept hit me a while back, that one of the pillars of Security through obscurity, and when we all use the same encryption standard (AES), that kind of fails that purpose, when you don't know what your targeting, its much harder to infiltrate or gain access, so bear in mind that, also bear in mind that there is are compatibility issues, not only between PC/MAC/IOS/Android, also on deeper level, for example Windows XP only supports SHA1 if I recall correctly, while Windows 7 supports SHA2, however if you want absolute security, go with a solution, that will allow you to encrypt the files prior than uploading them, aka encrypted from the client side, as suggested by Edward Snowden himself, that level of security is much better that using the alternative default, which most providers to, which is shared encryption done on the server side for all its clients. I know one program capable of doing this which is Zoolz, it will allow you to encrypt prior than uploading.

5 Ways To Securely Encrypt Your Files In The Cloud

"The cloud is a convenient place to back up and store files, but you should hesitate before uploading that sensitive data, whether you’re using Dropbox, Google Drive, or SkyDrive. Sure, your files may be encrypted in transit and on the cloud provider’s servers, but the cloud storage company can decrypt them — and anyone that gets access to your account can view the files. Client-side encryption is an essential way to protect your important data without giving up on cloud storage.

Encryption does add some complexity, however. You can’t view the files in the cloud storage service’s web interface or easily share them. You’ll need your encryption tool to decrypt and access your files."

Don't know about a client to secure cloud storage but I use an app called Boxcryptor to encrypt my Dropbox data. I'm sure this app supports other cloud services as well.
