How do I take screenshots on an iMac?

You can simply press the key combinations (Shift+Command+3/4) to take screenshots on your iMac. However, if you prefer professional screenshots tools that comes with more features, you can try to use snagit, Skitch and others.

The short answer for a basic screenshot is command-shift-3. Here is a list of other keyboard shortcuts for screenshots if you want to take them like a boss.
