How to add custom words to Windows Phone 8 dictionary?

Ok, to be honest, when I say “custom” I actually mean profanity. When I’m exchanging messages with my friends, it is not uncommon for us to use language that is a little off-color. With WP8, I have been unable to figure out a way to add those words but it will not allow me to do so (and I’m just talking about the standard sort of words that George Carlin used to joke about, nothing particularly exotic). I am not 8, I do not need to have my language censored by my phone. It’s annoying to be unable to use speech to text naturally or even type them in without typing every “gosh darn” letter every “freaking” time.

Sounds like Chris has the right answer to this.

It’s easy to add words, but unless Microsoft has changed something recently, it is not possible to add “Rated R” words. Mother Microsoft just says, "Nope. You can’t add them." Microsoft does not like blue language and therefore you should not either.

According to this Windows Phone site, it's pretty easy:

"If you'd like the phone to recognize a particular word in the future, type the word, then tap the Plus Sign (+) next to the word in the suggestion bar."
