How do you save SmartArt graphics in PowerPoint as a JPEG?

I’m using PowerPoint 2013 and want to save a SmartArt graphic as a JPEG so I can use it in another application. How can I do it?

Just select the outer frame of the graphic, and right click it. Select “Save as Picture.” By default, it will save it as a PNG file, but if you select “Save as Type,” you can change it to save as a JPEG.
