I tried to install the MAC desktop

Hi Jim Lynch,
I tried to install the MAC desktop top to my Mint 14. I guess I did something wrong, because it blew system up. All I'm getting is a black screen. Is there anyway I can get it back to where it was? I really hate having to redo all that I had done before the mishap.
Thanks

I know this is no great feat, but after reinstalling Mint14 Cinnamon, I got the theme to go. My problem? I didn't FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. It really came to life when I installed the Ubuntu Tweek and the Cairo Dock. Something that I skipped over the first time around. All is going well now.

Thanks again Jim

Hi Western Slope,

Sorry to hear you ran into some problems.

You might try the mac icons in this article:

http://www.noobslab.com/2012/11/install-mac-os-x-theme-on-ubuntu-1210.ht...

Here's the relevant portion:

To Install Mac OS X Lion Theme and Icons on Ubuntu open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following commands in the Terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes

Now Enter This Command then go to install commands
sudo apt-get update

Install Icons
sudo apt-get install mac-os-x-icons

Install Theme
sudo apt-get install mac-os-x-theme

Good luck, I hope that helps. If not you might want to post a question on the original article over at Noobs Lab as there are other folks there who used the tip.

Thanks Jim and I will post over there too, but I am running Mint 14 Cinnamon. A moderator at Linux forum said he thought it would be for Ubuntu and said it would break Mint 14 Cinnamon and it did. By the way he liks the theme too. I just started with Linux and have no idea what I'm doing. I had to reinstall my system after trying to run the lines. Anyway I think I'll hold off for a bit untill I know what I'm doing.

Thank Jim

An update to I tried to install the MAC desktop.

Hi again Jim. If you will check the command lines

sudo apt-get install mac-icons-noobslab
sudo apt-get install mac-ithemes-noobslab

The

sudo apt-get install mac-icons-noobslab

was not found and that could be my problem.

Thanks

Back again Jim,

I'm sorry for all of the replies to my own question, but there is no way to edit the original question. What I'm asking is how do I uninstall:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mac-icons-noobslab
sudo apt-get install mac-ithemes-noobslab

Thanks again and sorry again.
