What is a good bounce rate?

I have a personal blog, and I would like for it to do reasonably well so that I could eventually make a few bucks from it (don't worry, I'm not going to post a spammy link to it in my question). One thing I'm uncertain of is what bounce rate I should be looking for. What bounce rate would be considered good/acceptable for a blog?

Heh, heh. As low as possible! ;)

That said, it will vary by the blog and its content. There's no one number that applies to all blogs.

There is no solid rule as to what is the "right" bounce rate (the percentage of site visitors that are leaving, or "bouncing away" after viewing only one page), but I would think for a blog, a 60-70% bounce rate would be reasonable. By it's very nature, a blog is likely to have a higher bounce rate than a static site, because there is often no need to visit a second page on that site.
