How to erase EXIF data from photos?

How do you get rid of all the EXIF data on images? I don't necessarily want everyone to be able to see the exact location (GPS data) where I took some of my older images before I realized that I could disable it.

How to remove EXIF Data

"Let’s now talk about how you can either completely or partially remove both EXIF and XMP Data from an image. There are multiple ways to remove EXIF and XMP data from JPEG files – you can either remove EXIF data completely, or you can choose what to keep, while deleting specifically what you want."

Yeah I don't like having "I live here, Internet Stalker" info on my pics either. I had a lot of fun with a friend of mine who would send me photos while she was in Europe and I could always identify where she was because the EXIF data included longitude/latitude. Every photo she shared with me, I would make up a story about some crazy thing that happened there when I was on a trip in college. She thought I was a genius, and extremely well traveled. The reality was that I probably couldn't have even identified the hostel I stayed at for a week in Amsterdam if it had the name and address visible in front of me.

You can erase it pretty easy though. I'm sure there are many options, including free software, but if you are using photoshop, just go to FILE>SAVE FOR WEB & DEVICES. Using the drop box under Metadata:, select NONE.  Then save your EXIF free image file. That's it.
