How to stop mouse movement from waking up Windows 8 PC?

My cat likes to sleep on my desk at home, and is constantly pushing around the mouse, which causes my computer to wake up. She is apparently a very modern cat. Is there a way in Windows 8 to stop the computer from waking up when the mouse is moved?

You might want to consider just turning off the computer, or moving the mouse out of reach of the kitty.

Here's a video that explains it, but basically you:

1, Click on the desktop search box.

2. Click Settings.

3. Type in Device Manager

4. In the Device Manager window, click on Mouse and Other Pointing Devices

5. Right-click on mouse device, then click on Properties

6. Click on the Power Management tab

7. Unclick the box that says "Allow this device to wake the computer"

8. Click OK

That's it.

Thanks, that's easy! I wasn't looking in the right place. Now my cat can get some sleep without worrying about me shooing her off the desk.
