How to encrypt a drive in Windows 8?

I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 on my laptop, but when I went to use BitLocker to encrypt the drive, I couldn't find where to access it. Any ideas how to access BitLocker in Windows 8?

BitLocker t is only availableWindows 8 Pro.It seems other Win8 os don't have this feature. Are you want to encrypt HD or USB flash drive with BitLocker to go. Turn on BitLocker with the drive will start encrypt processing. Related article http://www.surfacetablethelp.com/2013/01/surface-pro-encrypt-hdflash-dri...
Here's a good overview of BitLocker:

BitLocker Drive Encryption

"BitLocker Drive Encryption is a full disk encryption feature included with the Ultimate and Enterprise editions of Microsoft's Windows Vista, Windows 7, and with Pro and Enterprise editions of Windows 8 [1] desktop operating systems, as well as the server platforms, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012. It is designed to protect data by providing encryption for entire volumes. By default it uses the AES encryption algorithm in CBC mode with a 128 bit key, combined with the Elephant diffuser for additional disk encryption-specific security not provided by AES.[2][3]"

You didn't mention which version you have of Windows 8, but BitLocker is only included in Windows 8 Pro or Enterprise edition. Sorry if you don't have those versions, you will have to look to third party software! Otherwise:
