iPhone 4S Facebook Badge App Icon - Wrong Number!

I have recently bought an iPhone 4S. Previously I had an iPod touch. On the iPod touch I had no issues with the badge app icon (little red number) for Facebook. However, on the iPhone it is always +3, as if I have an extra 3 unread notifications. For example if I genuinely have 2, it will show up on the app icon as 5. I'm presuming this is because somewhere along the way there were 3 notifications I didn't "read", but I've scrolled through the notifications within the app as far back as it will let me (one week I believe) and there are no unread ones. This is quite annoying as it renders the badge fairly useless. Note that it is just Facebook I'm having this problem with, no other apps. Any ideas on how to "reset" the number?

I think you can turn them off in the Notifications preferences in Settings. That might be your best bet.

No, unfortunately there is no 'Mark All Read' option, and I can get into the push options from the app but that doesn't help either. It wasn't a problem at all on the iPod, just on the new iPhone.

Also I've noticed that on the iPhone notifications aren't marked as seen or read unless you refresh the notifications list (i.e. they stay yellow instead of turning white) whereas on my iPod I only need to open the notifications tab and then they'd all be set to read.

Is there an option in the app to "mark all read"? I'm one of the 4 people in the world who doesn't use Facebook, so I'm pretty much speculating. Full disclosure and all that. Otherwise, maybe you can log on to Facebook through your desktop and change your push notification settings.
