Cisco Aironet 2600 vs 3500 ?

Which one is better? All my research says that the 2600 will deliever the same performance as the 3500 at a lower cost. The 3600 however would be a sweet deal since it will support a module to have 802.11ac in the future.

What are your thoughts?

If you can afford the option that future-proofs your purchase then go for it. It'll just save you from needing to upgrade at a closer point in the future. If not, go with the cheaper option as it will still meet your needs for the immediate future.

I would say that the 2600 would not deliver the same performance as the 3500 - it will deliver superior performance.  The 2600 has a max 450Mbps data rate, whereas the 3500 has a max data rate of 300Mbps.   The 2600 is a 3x4:3 access point vs. the 2x3:2 3500.  You will get a better piece of hardware with the 2600, and if you can get it for less that is just icing on the cake.
