How to mute a conversation in Outlook

I've been cced on an email thread in Outlook that I have no interest in following. How do I get off of it? (or just mute it?)

Open conversation and go to home. Then in Delete section click Ignore button to ignore the conversation.

Here's more on that from Microsoft.

Ignore all email messages in a conversation
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/ignore-all-email-messages...

"You can keep unwanted conversations out of your Inbox by using the Ignore Conversation feature. Ignore Conversation removes all messages related to the conversation that you select, and moves future messages in the conversation directly to your Deleted Items folder."

Jodie,

Not sure what version of Outlook you're using, but in Outlook 2010 there's an "Ignore" button in the "Delete" group under the Home tab. From there you can choose to ignore the thread.

If you're using Outlook's "Conversation" view, you can access the Ignore option by right-clicking on the message thread, according to this article.

Hope one of these works!
