How can I get the Chrome browser to display pages at 100% size?

Ok, maybe I'm missing something, but this is driving me crazy! I somehow increased the page magnification on my Chrome browser, apparently by moving my mouse the wrong way or something. I really have no idea what I did, but the result is that my display is magnified, and in the address bar there is a little magnifying glass that shows I am at 125% magnification when I roll over it. I have clicked it like an obsessive/compulsive madman, and I can't figure out how to make it normal again. It offers a "set to default" option, but I am afraid that if I click that it will change my default display magnification to 125%. Argh!!!! What can I do to get it to just display website without any magnification?

Yeah, this is super annoying if youare doing web development.  This is how you go straight to 100% magnification.

On Windows/Linux:

Ctrl + 0 (Zero)

On Mac:

Command + 0

I'm not sure what platform you are on, but look for a View menu in Chrome's menus. You can probably find a control for "Actual Size" or something like that. That should reset the view to be whatever the original size was before you changed it.

I actually did not know you could do it the way Christopher posted.  Good to know.  Another way is to go to the menu tab that is the three horizontal lines on the right side of the browser.  Once you click the menu tab, the sixth option down (at least on my version of Chrome) is the zoom setting.  Just click the little minus tab, and bring it back down to 100%.  I've had this happen to me before too, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it other than that, which I don't understand since I resized the screen without going to the menu.  Really, this is an example of a poor UI, and I'm surprised Google didn't do a better job on it.  The solution isn't obvious, but it should be.

With your cursor anywhere in the browser, hold down the Control button and hit the "minus" sign on the key to the left of the "plus" sign (+) key. That'll do it for you.
