I just purchased a new laptop with Windows 8. I am unable to watch a DVD, The computer doesn't seem to recognize E: drive.

I can play and download music with iTunes.
I suggest giving VLC a try, as the other poster mentioned. I keep it on all of my computers and it works very well for a wide range of video file formats. Plus it's free and open source.

Microsoft chose not to include Media Center with Windows 8, which seems like an odd choice to me, so there is no DVD playback support.  You can either go through Microsoft and get a free (for now) Windows Media Center Pack.

Or you can just get VLC Media Player for free anytime.
