What is the coolest thing Apple revealed at WWDC 2012?

I have been a little disappointed with WWDC 2012. Sure, no company, not even Apple, can be expected to hit a homerun every time that they are at bat, but I guess I still expected more triples and less singles. Was there anything that wowed and amazed you at this years conference?

One think that I found interesting was the increased language support for Siri, specifically the addition of Korean and Cantonese since I travel to Asia occasionally.  I find it very challenging to learn either language, even though I picked up German and Spanish fairly easily, so the thought of Siri being able to recognize the very different subtleties of Korean/Cantonese is pretty impressive to me.  Takes me back to my undergraduate days as an Anthropology major studying linguistics - like they say, you can take the boy out of Anthropology, but you can't take the Anthropology out of the boy.

Hardware wise, I'm with jimlynch, the Retina Macbook Pro has me counting the change in my car's ashtray.  Looks like I need a bigger ashtray!  It is a premium product at a premium price, but I want one.  Now!  The iPads with the retina display look fantastic; I would love for the display I use to do actual work to look that great.  Maybe Santa will be good to me this year.

The coolest thing for me was the retina display Macbook Pro. That is one FINE computer! I wish I had need for a laptop, so I'd have an excuse to buy one. Alas, I don't need a laptop.

I also liked the iOS 6 and OS X updates. I think it will be a good year for those in Apple's ecosystem. There's a lot of stuff to like, and very little to dislike.

All in all, it was a good keynote. I'm looking forward to the release of Mountain Lion and iOS 6.

I'd like to see retina display iMacs soon too. I want to upgrade and I also hope they ditch the optical drive in them, making them lighter and thinner.
