According to me, Dial Web Hosting is the best provider of domain names because it gives fast and secure services.

If you're looking for a registrar that doesn't raise their prices after the 1st year try www.cosmotown.com.  They're also $8.99 for the first year, and for renewals.  When you take into account free whois privacy, they're one of the cheapest deals out there.  I've also had great experiences with their customer service.  Best I've tried, and I've been with 1&1, Godaddy, namecheap and name.com

I would say to check out http://www.giszo.com. I had domain names with godaddy at one point, another good option, but I consolidated my portfolio by moving to giszo.com. There are a lot of great registrars out there; they offer great price deals, but the sale discounts can be misleading sometimes. For example, networksolutions, register.com, etc. will offer special deals for the first year, but when it comes time to renew your domain name next year, the prices are unbelievably higher the other registrars. The renewal fee is 34.99 for Networksolutions, you would still end up paying more in the end compared to $8.99 per year from giszo.com.

I would recommend you try bitronictech.net. They offer free domain names with any hosting purchase. They offer pretty cheap domain hosting, at only $2.75 a month. I personally use them as my domain registrar of choice. Plus unlike godaddy the dont support SOPA and CISPA.

I had registered my site on register domain India, they are providing cheapest domain name registration with web hosting package. Just $7 for domain name registration rather than $35.

I use my hosting company. That's probably the easiest way to do it, rather than just looking for one. Hosting Matters is what I use to host my sites. Check them out if you also want good customer service.

Choose a Domain Registrar in YOUR COUNTRY (I am assuming a non-USA Country). Get a Domain name that ends with the country tag --- xyz.uk, abc.de, ijk.cn. Make sure that there are no cross-dependencies with Registrars in the USA ( xyz.co.uk is not dependant on the USA .com registrar.
Make sure that YOU and not the registrar are the owners of the URL and the IP Address obtained - This is true even for USA based registrars.
Most registrars have a hierarchical tie up with the Top Level Registrar (Verisign(?) in the case of .com )
