How hot is the new iPad during regular use?

I've read complaints about the iPad 3 getting really hot. I've also been around long enough to know that every little complaint gets blown out of proportion during a big product launch, and non-stories become stories. Even so, I have had laptops in the past that actually were too hot to comfortably rest on my lap. I'm wondering what actual people that actually own one have experienced. Which is this: an overstatement of a minor issue or a legitimate complaint about an overheating device?

I have an iPad 3 and have had no heating problems. I run Order & Chaos and other games, and it's been fine. I also read ebooks, browse the web and run other applications.

I suspect the whole thing has been blown wildly out of proportion. I love my iPad 3. It's an amazing device and I would never go back to my iPad 1. The high res screen is amazing.

My guess is that people are desperate to find something - anything- wrong with it. Thus we see the press pushing a tempest in a teapot.
