What is the easiest way to synch Salesforce with Google Apps?

Is there a simple way to synch Salesforce info, primarily contacts and appointments, with Google Apps? I don't want to go through the trouble of manually entering all those contacts, which would take forever. Appointments wouldn't be as bad, but still the ideal is to have appointments easily synched with Google Calendar. Is there a simple way to do this?

Zeeman, you should look into a new product called The Scoop Composer. It comes with great features (including Salesforce Contact and Activity Gmail Integration) and does not require to give a third party access to all your data. Good luck!

and a short video for if you've only got 2 minutes to spare: http://www.cloudgizmos.com/salesforce-gmail-integration/contextual-salesforce-gmail-integration

In summation, our solution is perfect for security-aware enterprise companies (like Google - our first customer).  Thanks for your time, and I hope this was helpful. - Rachel from CloudGizmos

As was already mentioned, one potentially easy way I've heard about to synch up Salesforce and Google Apps is offered by companionlink.com.  I've used Salesforce CRM, but not the Companionlink software, so you might want to look around for some reviews or user experiences.  While Companionlink has been around for a while, I think their Salesforce application is fairly new, so there might not be a lot of reviews yet.  You might want to go to the Saleforce AppExchange, www.appexchange.salesforce.com, and poke around to see if there are other options that could fit your needs.  There are literally hundreds of apps that integrate with Salesforce on there, some at no cost, so it could be worth a shot.

Hi Zeeman,

You might want to check out CompanionLink. It promises to sync some of the things you mentioned. But it's not free, you'll have to buy it. You can try it free for 14 days though.

http://www.companionlink.com/google/salesforce/

"Sync Salesforce CRM contacts, calendar and tasks with your Google, Gmail, or Google Apps account. CompanionLink installs on the PC and syncs Salesforce CRM data to your Google/Gmail account. Two-way sync is fully supported so you can make changes to data anywhere.

CompanionLink can sync your tasks to either Google Tasks or Google Calendar."
