How to see Keyboard Viewer in Mac OS X El Capitan?

How can I see the Keyboard Viewer on a Mac running OS X El Capitan?
Go to System Preferences > Keyboard and select Show Keyboard, Emoji, & Symbol Viewers in menu bar.
In the menu bar click the Input menu. Select the language you want to view and click the Show Keyboard Viewer.
Press the modifier key or multiple keys (such as Option key) to see and select the available special characters.
