How to manually enable battery saver mode on Windows 10 laptop?

My Compaq PC running Windows 10 has pretty terrible battery life. This is more the result of an old laptop with an old battery than Windows 10’s fault, but I’d like to eek out a little more battery time when I’m using it away from a power source. How can I manually turn on battery saver mode when my battery is full to maximize battery run time?

1. Open Settings, and click/tap on the System icon.
click on battery on the left hand side, move the Battery saver is currently slider to the left to turn it off\on
2. Do step 3 (on) or step 4 (off) below for what you would like to do.
check or uncheck the light brightness to save your battery power..
you can also manage this fucntion by app also by click of battery uses by app
To manually enable battery saver click the battery icon in the lower left corner taskbar. Alternatively open Action Center > Settings. Click on the Battery saver tile to enable the battery saver mode. You'll see a green circle with a leaf on the battery icon indicating that the power saver mode is active.
