How to connect a Sega Dreamcast to a modern LED HDTV?

A friend of mine gave me a Sega Dreamcast for my birthday. This is obviously a really awesome present for anyone who was a gamer in the late 90s and early 00s. I have a CRT TV for vintage consoles, but I’d really like to add the Dreamcast to my living room setup with other more modern consoles. I have a composite cable, which will work but doesn’t look great. The only other connection I have is S-Video, but that has been pretty much phased out at this point, and I would like better video quality than a composite cable can provide. How can I connect the Dreamcast to an HDTV through an HDMI port?
The standard way is to get a VGA cable for your Dreamcast, then use a VGA to HDMI converter. Make sure to get a powered HDMI converter, not a passive one. Also, you will need to run the audio through the HDMI converter through a separate cable to then have the audio play through the HDMI connection and your TV, so the HDMI converter will also need separate audio input.

I'm on a dodgy internet connection at the moment, but I'll check on the HDMI converter that has worked well for other Dreamcast owners and post an update for you.
There might be a Dreamcast HDMI adapter, this is from a year ago:
You can also get a VGA to HDMI adapter and should work fairly well, here's are general instructions.
