There is some indication that Google Wallet is causing a delay in the roll out of the Nexis, at least according to Geek.com. It was announced in October that the Galaxy Nexus would be available from Verizon in November, but I haven't seen any yet and we are well in to December. Another reason my be that Verizon and AT&T have been working on a mobile phone service called ISIS that would be a direct rival to Google Wallet, or to say it from Verizon's perspective, Google Wallet is a direct rival to ISIS. After spend the time and money (up to $100 million according to some articles) for development of a proprietary mobile pay system, I can see how Verizon wouldn't be too happy at the prospect of all those resources being wasted. On the other hand, apparently ISIS isn't nearly ready for prime time, so perhaps they should just bite the bullet and acknowledge the Google beat them to the punch and allow customers to have the capability that they desire.
