How to get student discount on a new Mac?

My daughter is starting university this fall, and I’d like to get her a new Mac or MacBook for school. Someone at her high school mentioned that Apple offers an educational discount for students. How can I take advantage of this and get a student discount on her new computer?
The easiest way would be to go to the nearest Apple Store (there is also a good chance that your daughter's university has an Apple Store) and take proof of enrollment with you. This can be her college ID, if she has gotten one already. If not, you can take an enrollment letter that shows she is, in fact, attending that school.

You can also order online, but you will also have to provide proof at checkout. I've never ordered a Mac that way, so I can't give you specifics of how they accept proof online. FYI, there is a special student offer over the summer for free Beats headphones with a Mac purchase.
Apple offers some student discounts and promotional offers. Go to the site below and enter your daughters school name. From there you'll be redirected to the Apple store with discounted prices and information for students.

I would also check with the school as some schools buy in bulk and resell the laptops. This might end up being cheaper then going directly through Apple.
