How to set a static IP address in Windows 10?

1. Open the Start Menu.
2. Type in "Network and Sharing Center."
3. Click the blue text next to "Connections."
4. Click on Properties in the pop-up window.
5. Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4.
6. Manually enter an IP address that this PC will always use, including after you reboot it. Check the box to Validate settings upon exit to make certain that you don't enter a bad address.
