What is zero knowledge encryption and how is it more secure than “normal” encryption?

Zero-knowledge encryption is encryption where you are the only one that holds the encryption keys. As a result, no one, including your cloud provider or anyone that gains access to their servers can only see encrypted files, and they have no way to decrypt them.

In contrast, end-to-end encryption only keeps your data encrypted during transit, but it is sitting there unencrypted on your cloud provider's servers.
