How to make sure USB Type-C cables are safe?
It seems that there are so many bad USB Type-C cables on the market that it has caught the attention of a Google engineer, Benson Leung. He is somewhat famous for his warnings about all the bad...and potentially damaging...USB Type-C cables that are on the market. In fact, I just read an article about Leung seriously damaging his Chromebook Pixel while testing Type-C cables. Short of setting up my own test bench, how can I make sure that I am buying safe USB Type-C cables that will not damage my hardware?
