How to add to-do list to Google Calendar?

I’d like to add a “to do” list to my Google Calendar that keeps the reminder active until the task is completed. Is there a way to do this?
When you create an entry in the calendar, at the end of the event name add #todo which will convert the entry into a task. When you are done put an X in the brackets in front of the entry name to indicate it's been completed.
