How to deal with Outlook warning about root certificate?

In Outlook for Mac, I'm getting a pop-up message after logging in that says: "Verify Certificate: A secure connection cannot be established with the server _______ because its intermediate or root certificate cannot be found. Do you want to continue? [Options:] Show Certificate, Cancel, Continue." How can I make this go away? Obviously I can click Continue, but each day the message returns and I'd like to deal with this more permanently.
There's a check box that allows you to always allow/ save the option you select (you might need to click show certificate if you don't see it). Check the box and click Continue. You can also contact you IT department to make sure they don't need to do anything with the certificate verification.
