How to convert files from Outlook 2010 to use with Office365?

We have someone with Outlook 2010 from an old system that is no longer is use.

Outlook 2010 still works because it's using an OST file to see the emails.

How do I convert the Outlook 2010 OST file in to a PST file and use on our New O365 Outlook 2013?

I have just found a third party Wizard that is well suitable to convert offline or online OST files to PST as well as some other formats so first change your all OST mailboxes to PST format after that run Microsoft Outlook and import converted PST files by using “Open Outlook Data File” option.

As Number6 mentioned theres a few simple ways to save ost data and convert to pst. I would recommend making a backup of the ost if that's the only copy you have. Simply locate the file usually under C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook and make a copy with a different name or a different location.

You shouldn't have to do anything other than export the OST files to Office 365 using Outlook's "Export" function. You could also just create a new PST file and drop and drag the OST files you want to convert. Easy peasy.

Careful though - there are companies that try to trick people into buying unneeded software (OST to PST "converters"). This is almost always rip-off that you don't need, so if you see someone hawking that, it's likely someone dishonest trying to take your money.
