How to change DNS server on Android to OpenDNS or Google DNS?

I use Google DNS on both my laptop and desktop PC, and would like to use either it or OpenDNS on my Android tablet as well. I looked in the settings and didn’t see an option to change DNS servers. What do I need to do to use a different DNS server?
You can do it though your settings, but you have to forget your current WiFi connection, then reenter the password, go into advanced settings, and change the DNS settings there. An easier way is to use the DNS Changer app (free from Google Play). It has all the major DNS options listed in the app, so you can just choose the one you want. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether it works with Android Marshmallow.
