How to turn off Backstage View in Powerpoint 2016?

When I’m saving a file locally in Powerpoint 2016, I have to go through a number of steps that I didn’t need to do in previous versions of Powerpoint due to Backstage View. Can I disable Backstage View so that I can simply save a file without the unnecessary steps?
1. Launch PowerPoint, and open any presentation that you want. A blank one also works.

2. Go to "File". If you do not see this tab, your ribbon may be hidden. In that case, click the small button near the minimize button. Then select either "Show Tabs or Show Tabs and Commands".

3. In the Backstage view, select Options. In the new PowerPoint Options window, go to the Save section. Check the option which says "Don’t show the Backstage when opening or saving files". Then close this window.
You can disable the Backstage view under Options.
In PowerPoint go to File > Options > Save (in the left menu).
Check the box 'Don't show the Backstage when opening or saving files'.
This change will apply to all apps in the Office suite.
