How to customize the Windows 10 Start menu?

The Start menu is back in Windows 10. But how can I customize the tiles and groups there to my liking?

I suggest downloading Start Menu X. It replaces the Windows 10 clunky start menu with one that very closely resembles Windows 7. It is easy to customize, and brings Windows back to it's former glory while taking advantage of the massive speed advantages of Windows 10. It's a great program.
