Does using a password manager create additional security concerns?
I’ve read time and again that people should use a password manager to improve their online security. I get that using secure, distinct passwords for every site and account is a good idea, but if I have them all stored in a password manager, doesn’t that come close to defeating the purpose since there is now only one barrier keeping someone from gaining access to all of my passwords for every online account I have? What am I missing here? Are password managers really safe? How are password managers secure enough to trust with the keys to the kingdom?
