How do I transfer everything on my old Android phone to a new one?

Two ways are available: First, you may use this free app to transfer everything to PC. For example, you can use it to backup Android contacts with ease and then import them to your new phone. http://airmore.com/backup-android-contacts.html
Second, you can also use a professional deaktop tool to transfer everything on Android to PC.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apowersoft.phone.manager
There is a good guide on ITworld that walks you though how to transfer practically everything. In my experience, I've always been satisfied by just linking the new android phone to my Google account. It gives me access to everything that I care about, but of course that doesn't mean that all of the downloaded data/files on my phone are transferred. That's not a big deal to me since everything is backed up to the cloud, but I could see why you would want it all transferred.

In any case, here is the link to Derek Walter's article, "How to get everything off your old Android phone and onto your new one." It covers everything from SMSs to Settings, so it should have you covered.
