What types of files stored in Google Drive don’t count against your storage allotment?

I have 117GB of Google Drive storage space in my account, but 100GB of that is the result of a 2 year free promo that came with my Chromebook. That promo is about to come to an end, and I’d like to stretch the amount of storage as far as possible. Which types of files does Google not count against your Drive cloud storage limit?
Items that don't count toward your storage limit
•Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, etc.
•Files shared with you.

Items that count toward your storage limit
•Gmail: All messages and attachments in your mail, including those in your Spam and Trash folders.
•Drive: Files up to 5 TB that you’ve stored in Drive, like PDFs, images, and videos. Anything you’ve made with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides doesn’t count toward your storage limit.
•Google Photos: If you choose "Original" in your Google Photos upload settings, your photos will count towards your storage limit.
