How to make Gmail messages self-delete (aka self-destruct)?

Is there a way to make Gmail messages self-destruct after someone reads them, like an email version of Snapchat? It seems like that would be a useful feature to help keep sensitive information from accidentally getting revealed.
To make gmail messages self delete you need to create filter.
First select the message you want to delete and click on more button to create a filter and type the text which type of messages you want to delete it self and select delete it option. Then click on create filter button to make your messages self delete.
The Chrome Dmail plugin will let you set a time limit on an email before it "self-destructs". http://money.cnn.com/2015/07/24/technology/dmail-self-destructing-gmail/

Not that I am aware of, sorry. But here's a link to the Gmail Help Center in case you want to check with Google about it:
