How to backup data?

I see you've already gotten some helpful answers, but here's a link to the Android support site in case you need it later:

MGaluzzi gave a good option for auto backup, if you need to do a one time backup you can always connect it a computer (through USB). this is what you need to do.

"1. Connect your Android device to your computer (Windows or Mac should both work) via the USB cable.

2. On your Android, pull down the main menu (swipe down from the top of the screen) and select "USB connection."

3. On the next page, choose USB Mass Storage and hit OK.

4. You'll see a new drive or "Removable Disk" appear on your computer for the SD card. Open it up, and copy all the files inside to a new location on your computer. I would put the date right into the name of the folder—something like "130815_ANDROID-SD-CARD-BACKUP"—so you can very easily identify it and when it was created."
With an Android device, you can easily backup photos, music and other files to Google Drive, assuming that you have enough cloud storage space remaining. You get 15GB for free, so it will last a while. Plus, if you let Google compress your photos, they won't count toward your storage limit.

Just turn on the auto backup feature:
1. Open settings.
2. Click on Auto Backup.
3. Switch the toggle to "on."
