Any suggestions for free IT career training?

Some of my friends are jealous of my IT career, but I worry that I'm falling behind in my skills because technology never stops changing. What are some of the best places to learn useful IT skills that could help me in my career?

There are lots of websites where you can learn more about IT skills. What are your interests?

If you want to learn about SQL programming, MySQL has some good resources:

If you're interested in cloud computing, Salesforce.com has put together about 4-5 hours worth of free online certification training.

Of course Microsoft has office training, and Google has GoogleDocs training.

of course that's not nearly as valuable as Microsoft Exchange training:

This is in addition to a lot of other training that is available on YouTube or other sites.

I would avoid the really basic, generalist skills unless you need a refresher. The job market seems to be rewarding people who have specializations. So sure, you can get free training in PHP and Javascript

but you'd probably do better to learn Citrix

or Microsoft Azure

or even inexpensive training for Xcode (IOS development)
