What functionality would you like to see added to Windows Server 8?

At the Build Conference, Microsoft is showing off their plans for their next generation server and desktop / tablet operating systems, Server 8 and Windows 8, respectively. What features would you like to see in Windows 8?

If we were able to cut down our server's power requirements at night, that would be handy. That could give us perhaps a 30% reduction in electricity costs.

I'm excited about the changes coming to Hyper-V. It's about time that Microsoft integrated Hyper-V into the Windows environment. Now if it only came with some kind of service for sharing storage to use Windows as the basis for a SAN, it would be easier and less expensive than having to rely on EMC and other enterprise vendors.

No, the killer feature in Windows Server 8 is data deduplication.

This is a technology that has filtered down from high-end, enterprise-grade storage and backup systems, and has the potential to save the most money for data center engineers who are managing large SANs. So you might get your Windows-based SAN solution after all.
