How to fix a PS4 that turns off by itself?

My PS4 keeps turning itself off. Why does that happend, and how can I fix it?
I have a problem with my ps4 which I bought in. January 2016.the problem is that while playing the ps4 switches off unexpectedly has if it has been unplugged there is no beep.this can happen after one week of use of continuous use or heaven a month, that is it can it can switches off today and then switches off next Thursday.Help please
I have recently came across this problem and after disconnecting all the wires for 3 minutes and turning it back on it would work for a while then do it again (like a day or 2). I realised that I only had this issue when i used my cheap phone charging cable. I pulled out my trusty PS cable and have not encountered this problem again. Hope this helps.
You mean why your contorller was plugged in is when you were having that problem and you startrd using the old charging cable it came with

Its seems like hardware issue contact play station support or visit nearest support station.
Make sure your all connection are plugin properly.
Make sure power connection is properly connected. because this problem usually comes when your connection is loose.
Make sure all connection are plugin properly. if there is any connection loose then you need to make it correct. if it is still not working then you need to contact to play station tech support department.
Are you getting any error message? Is it while you are doing anything in particular, or does it just happen randomly? The first thing that comes to mind is it is overheating. Do you have it on a hard surface with plenty of open air around it? I’ve seen older systems overheat and shut down when people had them sitting on a carpeted floor, which blocked airflow. Make sure the vents are unobstructed, so you can eliminated that.

I would also check and make certain that all the connections are secure, particularly the power and HDMI cable on both ends. Which brings up another possibility - is it shutting off when you turn off your TV? If so, some TVs can send shutdown signals over HDMI.

The last thing I can think of is if the power settings are configured to turn it off after a short period of time. I don’t have a PS4 in front of me at the moment, but I think that you can set it to turn off in as little as an hour, if there is no activity, and that can include while you are watching YouTube, Netflix or whatever.

I would give Sony a call if none of these are the issue.
I'd contact PlayStation support and ask them about it:

You may need a replacement for your PS4, and they can help you if that turns out to be the case.
