How to set up a family library to share purchased content on Amazon?

I nearly wrote off Amazon Prime when they increased the price a few months ago, but with the addition of all the HBO programming and the arrival of a couple of Kindles at my home over Christmas, it looks like I’m in for the long haul. How can I set up a family library so that we can all share the apps and ebooks that I’ve already paid for once instead of buying multiple copies for everyone?

Family sharing has been a big issue for me too when I first started using the Kindles. They have made it somewhat easier, but it is still a bear (and I think on purpose, which is very sad, given how easy it is to buy a book to read on the Kindle).
To get started, you have to have no more than two adults and four kids that form a "virtual family group" Both adults need to authorize each other to use their respective credit cards associated with their Amazon accounts. Then you need to set up your virtual group and share the content across each person's account:
