What is a client side compromise?

What is a client side compromise of a network’s security?

Number 6 has a good answer for this.
“Client side compromise involves an intruder exploiting an application with with a user interfaces. This application could be a web browser, email client, media player, or any other program that users rely on for access to network resources. An attacker might trick a user into visiting a compromised site and revealing her credentials, or he might simply position himself to take advantage of a routine the user follow.”
