How to add VirtualBox 4.3.14 to Linux Mint 17

Since I'm a newbie to Linux mint and Linux I could have goofed in doing this.
I've hit a snag when I run "sudo apt-get update" I get the following:
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/ trusty/contrib i386 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/download.virtualbox.org_virtualbox_debian_dists_trusty_contrib_binary-i386_Packages)
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/ trusty/contrib i386 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/download.virtualbox.org_virtualbox_debian_dists_trusty_contrib_binary-i386_Packages)
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

I included the contents of /var/lib/apt/lists in my original explanation but when I submit my question I get cut of by the spam filter. I looking for a solution to the W: Duplicate sources.list entry .

The answer came from another forum Re: adding VirtualBox To LM 17 Cinnamon 32 bit

Locate "Software Sources" in your menu (probably under Administration). Click on the "Additional repositories" tab. You will most likely find the new entries for VirtualBox there. Remove the tick next to them. Close the window.

In a terminal runCode: Select allsudo apt-get updateit should now be error free.

You can now delete the entries from the Additional repositories if you wish.

If you want to install VirtualBox I suggest that you download it from Oracle, together with the matching Expansion Pack. The necessary files are available in .deb format and install via double-click. There is also an excellent Manual.

Do have a look at posts in this forum relating to VirtualBox - you can learn from the guidance of those who have walked that path before.
