Absolutely, site speed can negatively impact your website's Google search ranking. According to Google, speed doesn’t have as much as an impact as content and relevancy of a page, but a slow loading page will be penalized. Of course, with each revision of Google’s algorithm, the impact of each variable changes, so it is difficult to determine exactly how much weight is currently given to site speed.
