How to set up prewritten email responses on Gmail?

I’m on the board of a small non-profit and I get a lot of emails asking the exact same things. Is there any way to set up prewritten canned responses to those emails so I don’t waste as much time responding to them? Thanks.

Canned responses works as suggested, but there is an even better app (a Chrome extension) called YesWare that is free and allows much more refined email templates. To get it, search in the extensions options on chrome.

Gmail Canned Response Comprehensive Guide

"Besides the basic Gmail features there are some crazy experimental features available in Gmail Labs. Canned Response is one of the crazy feature for lazy creature like me and you. It allows you to save various predefined email templates that can be used over and over again to reply number of people. It's a feature alike SMS Templates.

Canned Responses saves your time for common mails, for which you can reply with common and quick pre-written mails. For example, you are running a small scale manufacturing company - producing some sort of products. Then, you would be getting lots of product related inquiries for which you can use Canned Responses. All you need to do is select the response from the collection of Canned responses and hit the "Send" button."

There is. Open Gmail and click on the little gear icon on the top right, then select Settings. There will be a row of tabs, select the “Labs” tab. Scroll down and you should see “Canned Responses by Chad P” - tick the “enable” box and save your changes. Write the email that you want to use, then click the arrow in the bottom right of the window. Chose “canned response” and save it. When you want to use your canned response, click on the arrow in the bottom right of the compose email window and insert it.
