3 Linux Distributions for Windows XP Refuges

It is ok for General use of computers But, what about Windows specific Proprietary softwares/applications. Can we run these applications on Linux (In my case the accounting software Tally)

You can use Wine, CrossOver or VirtualBox if you need to run Windows applications.

Well, you can use Wine to run Windows on Linux. However, there is less than 100% compatibility with Windows applications, so you might want to google “Wine” and the name of any software that you want to use to see if there are common issues. Another option is to set up VMWare or VirtualBox to run an instance of Windows. However, you will need a Windows license, which might be an issue for you, and plenty of space on your HDD.
