What do i call it...soft brick?

I was trying to install an app and my battery went low and my android shut down. i plugged in the charger and tried to turn it on but it wont come to my usual home screen. it turns on as usual and after a while it stops at a screen where it says "DEMON" (the black screen usually displayed for a few seconds before going to my home screen). i tried to factory reset my device but it doesnt seem to have any effect. i have a HTM M1 (which is fake i learnt from a chinese phone repair technician and he also said that it has been copied from HTC) 4.7 inch screen 2G dual sim 512MB ram it runs 4.2.2 Jellybean and MTK6572 1.3GHz dual core processor [internal memory 48MB (which pisses me off)]. Someone help me...

I'd contact the manufacturer of your device and ask them about this, it's not something that's easily diagnosed in this way. Good luck, I hope you can get it fixed.

I know nothing about that particular device or manufacturer, so this is going to be generic advice. Hopefully it might still help you. First thing, try a battery pull (if possible) then try to boot up again. Maybe you will get lucky and that will work. If not, try to boot into recovery. I know that you said you tried to do a factory reset, but I'm not sure what you did or if it was actually performed, so sorry if this is redundant. When you power up, hold down Volume+ and Power (keep them held down). That should boot you into recovery. If it doesn’t work try it again using Volume- and Power...I’m not certain what will work on that device.

Once you are in recovery, you will see a short list of options. Assuming that this device isn’t rooted and you don’t have backups, a factory reset will cause you to lose all of your data and place the phone in the state it was in when it left the factory. That's the best way I can think of to try to clear up the problem you are having with getting stuck at the splash screen, but of course I can’t promise anything. Good luck, I hope it works out. Post an update and let us know.
