How to unfollow topics on Circa?

I use the Circa widget to stay up to date on events and get quick news updates on my Android phone. I followed a story on Circa a few weeks ago about Crimea, and now I don't want to continue to get updates since we saw how it turned out. However, I can't figure out how to turn off “following”. Does anyone know how to unfollow a story on circa?

I had this problem for a while; maybe you have the same issue. Go to a followed article and look just to the left of the menu button in the top-right corner. Do you see a very faint white word saying "Followed"? Click on that to unfollow.

This is a problem with the app. I have a close-to-white background color, and white text on almost white doesn't work. I'm not sure if you can change color settings somewhere.

Circa - The App That Deconstructs Facts From Fluff To Reconstruct News For Mobile
http://www.forbes.com/sites/limyunghui/2012/10/29/mobile-news-revisited-...

"Circa is the latest entrant and to some extent, it is re-imagining news on mobile. Its iOS news app went live on October 16, 2012 with a mission “to pursue a more pure definition of news with truths divorced from conjecture, opinion or biases analysis.” How Circa realizes the mission makes it a fresh departure from other news apps out there.

Circa is a sort-of news publishing combinatorial engine, powered by editors. The app uses editorial team to choose news from various top sources and then reconstruct each news story by piecing together modularized pertinent details like stats, maps, facts, quotes, pictures, and others. New details can be added to the news over time and those who follow the news will get a notification of the update. "

On the widget, you can go in and where you see the “following” flag at the top, click it. It will show all the updates to the topic. On that screen, tap the drop-down menu at the top right, and choose “clear updates.” I’m not certain that will keep away any future updates, but it will clear the notification bug, and as the story gets older, there will be less and less updates, if any.
