How much difference in revenue per app is there between iOS and Android?

It used to be a truism that iOS apps generated developers more income than the same app would on other platforms. Is this still true, or has Android caught up to the point that it is equally lucrative to develop Android apps? What about Windows Phone?

I actually saw this data in an article on readwrite about HTML5 recently - you can read it HERE. iOS still has a significant advantage over Android in terms of developer revenue per app. Both of those have an advantage over Windows Phone and, to no one's surprise, BlackBerry.

Median revenue per app:

iOS: $501 - $1000

Android: $101 - $200

BlackBerry: $51 - $100

Windows Phone/Windows 8: $1 - $50
