It’s a pain. The only way I know how to do it is go through manually and remove the duplicates, at least for Outlook 2007. Not so sure about Outlook 2010. Here is a guide from Microsoft, but essentially, you have to go through your contacts folder and select each duplicate individually, then you can batch delete. Have fun!
